2/5/2024 0 Comments Did war thunder get hacked![]() I would imagine it is largely the same case for a lot of their "Super Testers" (Alpha/Beta Testers?) and Moderators. Additionally, I like the freedom that WT gives me with one game (planes, tanks, boats) so I stick with WT. I have to spend a lot of my time doing WT related things as a wiki mod and steam mod, and I have to spend a ton of time in college. I don't any more, but it's just because of real life things. Just some food for thought: I used to play WoT too. I am posting this as food for thought, not as flamebait <. >Whether it's true or not, I don't know, but if there is any truth of it. Read your first line, immediately thought of this.: Interestingly, they are the only ones to have bothered with posting a review for War Thunder, a game that many of them barely play anymore. Originally posted by Kayneth:Quite a few people on my friends list, whom i know to be Super Testers or Moderators for have posted reviews stating that silly Gaijin update client to be malware. To compare the two is like apples and oranges. WT developers also have a sucessful (and different) product. To say one developer is better than the other is opinion WG developers I'm sure are great at what they do, or they wouldn't have a sucessful product. there are perhaps a dozen vehicles that are "fantasy/prototype", and another dozen "prototypes", sure, and both games have to make exceptions to their match maker as far as historical battles are concerned. ![]() I wanted to take this post seriously, but I have to wonder, if WT is unrealistic, does that make WoT pure fantasy? WT is far more realistic than WoT, I think most would agree to that. Which you may or may not like, it also struggles with all the non existent fantasy tanks that they are coming up with, you choose. Originally posted by Big Smoke:This game is very unrealistic with insane amount of bugs and glitches, WOT has a much better developer team that actually make the game fair and balanced but they have the healthbar system. dont trust anyone or anything ! (opinion guys. trust is irrelevant or even a misconception - in real life but even more on the internet. especially if you are into the genre and i dont say you should ditch WoT for WT - they are too different to even compare themītw. Since WT is f2p there is no reason to NOT give it a try imho. so i deleted them pretty much right away (regardless of the fact that sometimes i had paid quite some money for them). There are quite a lot of games i've only played for a couple of hours (and sometimes not even a full hour) just because i didnt't like them from the start. WHAT made them play 2000+ hours ?ĭont you think they may have had quite a lot of fun to even make it that far ? Ofc games (especially those with repetitive gameplay) are getting boring at some point - so after 2000+ hours the people really may have to find something else. Just doesn't make sense from a developers perspective imo. War Thunder has been on steam for about 4 years now, so if there was some shady ♥♥♥♥ going down they would lose their place an steam, and therefore likely a large portion of their fanbase as well as legal stuff. So TL:DR: No, war thunder is not malware. Just skip updating gaijin agent when it gives you an error and the update should still be perfectly fine from my expierence at least. Plently of guides on this forum on how to do this, however note you will get errors when doing launcher updates of course as it will try to update gaijin agent when you have denied permission to do so. You can disable it from running by clicking on the spanner icon in the war thunder launcher and disabling "Auto-Updates", or if you wan't to go a step further, you can go ahead and disable the permissions to gaijin agent in the games folder to be 100% sure that it can't do anything. I'm 99% its safe but i have disabled it anyways. Its essentialy a program that runs in the background that scans for WT updates. is this worth playing over WoT or is WoT more trustedĬloset thing to "Malware" would be gaijin agent which is installed by default when you install wt, however according to gaijin, it doesn't affect performance. ![]() Originally posted by Sicky:so reading hte revies for ages LOTS of people with 2000+ hours say its not worth it and they only play as its to late to leave as they have put so much money on it.
